Overview
KyotoCooling is a game changing Data Center Cooling technology. Designed from inception to support separated air flow distribution KyotoCooling utilizes new techniques and approaches to support air cooling cabinets to 40kva and above while maintaining best practice approaches of modularity, redundancy and absolute control through autonomous self adaptive integrated controls. Each change in the data center is adapted to without intervention with the application of strategic approaches to energy efficiency and reliability. The result is the worlds most efficient and reliable autonomous cooling solution for data centers. Created as a complete solution it is a field proven answer to the complete data center cooling problem.
There are two basic styles of KyotoCooling units. One is a fabricated on site gallery or penthouse design based on a 600kW, 750kW or 850kW unit of load and may be aggregated as required. The second is a prefabricated factory assembled and pre-tuned unit designed for wall or roof mount bases on a 90kW, 300kW or 450kW load design. Both designs are configured as n+1 or n+2 typically based on run critical load.
N.B.600kW and 300kW are used as typical types to illustrate the design.
To maintain the cooling conditions of the data room the following equipment has been installed:
› › › › › › › › › › › |
Filters outside air (1); Fans (2) to maintain the flow of open air over the rotary heat exchanger; A rotary heat exchanger (3) to cool the recirculation air to the open air; Bypass damper and air duct (4) to preheat the outside air; Condenser (5) and blocking damper (6) to build up resistance to preheat outside air; Return air damper (7) to block in the unit; Electrical cabinet (8) with controls and power distribution; Fans (9) to maintain the recirculation flow in the data room; Filter recirculation air (10); Mechanical cooling by DX (direct expansion) coolers (12), an evaporator (11) and a condenser (5); Supply air damper (13) to block in the unit / cell. |
The components are all sourced from major manufacturers including Emerson, Weg, Bitzer, HoneyWell, Klingenburg that have International Presence and most notably parts and support over the world. As such they carry necessary international approvals as well for CEL, UL and CSA and other necessary standards. The fabricated unit is constructed to exacting German Design Standards and is fully certified to meet a variety of detailed specifications from sound level to pressure to capacity. The expected life of the system is 20+ years and maintenance is minimal.
