Mees Lodder is corporate CEO. Mr Lodder was principle to the creation and organization of
the corporation and continues to act in a role of overseeing growth and extension of the brand.
Mees continues to evolve the technical cooling apparatus with Pedro Matser who is Director of
Engineering. Marcel van Dijk oversees the controls development process. Wout Schaap heads up
project delivery. Hans Schreuders is responsible for business development.
Mees Lodder is an MSc Engineering Graduate of Delft University. Mees focused his attention on
data center cooling in 2001. As a Data Center Operations manager for Getronics he initiated a
drive to optimize data center design through sound scientific methods. Subsequent to this KyotoCooling
was commercialized. Mr Lodder quickly established himself as leader and visionary, guiding the company
through its formative stages. KyotoCooling has reached the public stage largely due to Mees' worldwide
travels and presentations. A frequent speaker at public conferences and private symposia, Mees is a
recognized figure among data center professionals. Mees is also a co-owner of Uptime Technology, a
Netherlands based consulting organization.
Pedro Matser holds an Engineering Degree from Zeevaartschool, Delfzijl. Pedro is a principal at
Horos-Klimaattechniek BV, a custom air handler OEM supplier. Pedro has over 20 years of practical
mechanical engineering experience. Pedro has been principle to the system specification process
and partner subcomponent selection processes. Pedro is Director of Engineering and has absolute
knowledge of all aspects of the theory and practice of KyotoCooling delivery. With practical delivery
expertise in many challenging and unusual situations, Pedro brings a wealth of knowledge and experience
to the group.
Marcel van Dijk holds an Electrical Engineering Degree (BSc) from Hogeschool Rotterdam and is responsible
for the controls development process within the company. Marcel brings a strong industrial controls background
of over 13 years prior to turning his attention to data centers. Marcel has a wealth of expertise in mission
critical control applications that are nonstop by design. As co-owner of Uptime Technology, Marcel has
strong local management consulting experience in the data center field. As a key contributor to the
maturation of KyotoCooling controls and the third generation extensions to the architecture, Marcel is
providing continued leadership in the extension of the KyotoCooling solution.
Wout Schaap is directly involved in hands-on KyotoCooling project management and delivery Wout implemented
the successful live conversion of the Getronics Pink Roccade site under project “Don’t Stop”. Wout went on
to manage Apeldoorn, Lelystad, and Rotterdam installations. Wout regularly integrates KyotoCooling
internationally. Wout is a skilled mechanical engineering technologist, a detail oriented project manager
and a resourceful expert in solving field level implementation issues in real time. Wout provides assistance
in design services to our Engineering Group ensuring "as planned is as built".
Hans Schreuders is a long time veteran in the data center field, having had direct involvement with large
corporate build and operate functions. Hans most recently was lead of the KPN Data Center Design group.
As such Hans has direct experience with KyotoCooling design, cost metrics, and financial implications.
Long time business consulting experience coupled with deep technical knowledge in the field of mechancial
engineering makes Hans a solid addition to the team. Hans is focusing on business development in Europe.
